hi - new to this forum so sorry in advance if using slightly wrong!! Moved here in December and keen to get 4 year old son into some activities - weekend or in the week as both husband and I have time off in the week with him. He's in nursery too and that's all grand, but one of the reasons we moved here was for beach access as he is such an outdoors kid. Thinking about football or rugby or something - someone suggested enjoy-a-ball as being good for good all round fun with a ball and allowing them to try lots of things... Would consider karate etc as really want something active but that he can progress in confidence and skills. All suggestions and recommendations welcomed.
thanks

Welcome!
For rugby give Portobello Rugby a shout - the hornets are from P1 I think, so maybe a bit early?
I'm sure the guys at Joppa United can point you int he right direction for football.

My son loved Enjoy-a-ball with Claire, though he's 16 now , so it was a few years ago! He currently enjoys playing rugby for Portobello RFC, so can recommend both!

There is a good gymnastics class on a Friday at the indoor bowling, perfect for a kid of 4.
Chris Ewing Karate is also pretty good but also getting over-subscribed imo

really appreciate these responses. Looked at Karate - has to be 5. Emailed Claire - thanks for contact there! Think will see what she says about that before look at footie and rugby but thanks for the links - know where to look when ready for all this and have them book marked. Cheers!

Edinburgh Judo School at Meadowbank and Porty Baths swimming lessons are both huge hits in this house.
