Having a nice glass of white wine having done my" mums taxi "routine.
Robola from Kefalonia, nice white wine unlike the "rose" I brought back in the plastic bottles.
Thanks to Bellybabe for tip about Valerian tea. Tried it and it worked- though the smell reminds me a bit of old socks. Gave some to Baby Dragon as her sleep patterns are all over the place having had a bad bout of glandular fever. Zzzzzz

I've had a lot of insomnia lately so I think tonight I'll have a nice glass of La Fée Parisian Absinthe (68% abv)
and watch a good dvd.

OK, if *you* are walking past mine with your kidnapped pet of choice/ poster cut out imitation Bess/ Jonny Depp (especially Depp), I will keep some truffles aside just in case..gilo wrote:Where do I find Bess?rapunzell wrote:If you are walking Bess past mine tomorrow there will be some very strong rum truffles left; very relaxing : )
Sounds great Rapunzell but having friends up for dinner today so will be slaving away in the kitchen, as will BC as he is cooking the main course, do you think there will be any left on Sunday?rapunzell wrote:If you are walking Bess past mine tomorrow there will be some strong rum truffles left; very relaxing : )Sandra wrote:G&T with slimline tonic and lots of lime - yum, its been a looonnnnng week.

I'm a new convert to absinthe myself (still on my first bottle)
I drink the Parisien absinthe
Absinthe tastes like aniseed, if you like aniseed balls you'll love absinthe
(It's made with anis
The way to drink is
1. put a measure of absinthe in a glass
2. put an absinthe spoon (a fork would do) over the glass
3. put a sugar cube on the spoon and four
pour about double (some say up to four times) the amount of chilled water over the sugar cube, stir (the drink should turn cloudy)
http://www.lafeeabsinthe.com/
La Fée Absinthe is a highly alcoholic, anise-flavoured, distilled liquor containing the herb wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), green in colour, turning to cloudy, opalescent white when mixed with water. Highly aromatic, this spirit is dry and somewhat bitter in taste, with alcoholic content of 68 percent by volume.
Hope this helps.

Don't.
Just say no.
Like Zammo.
I did that once. Then I sicked it up, straight back into the glass.Black Mamba wrote:The way to drink is

You'd never even have known it had been inside me.
My friend certainly didn't notice.
Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, sir?
I think there might well be, especially late afternoon early evening..Sandra wrote:Sounds great Rapunzell but having friends up for dinner today so will be slaving away in the kitchen, as will BC as he is cooking the main course, do you think there will be any left on Sunday?rapunzell wrote:If you are walking Bess past mine tomorrow there will be some strong rum truffles left; very relaxing : )Sandra wrote:G&T with slimline tonic and lots of lime - yum, its been a looonnnnng week.
