Having a nice glass of white wine having done my" mums taxi "routine.
Robola from Kefalonia, nice white wine unlike the "rose" I brought back in the plastic bottles.

Thanks to Bellybabe for tip about Valerian tea. Tried it and it worked- though the smell reminds me a bit of old socks. Gave some to Baby Dragon as her sleep patterns are all over the place having had a bad bout of glandular fever. Zzzzzz

Vodka and coke... okay, the third vodka and coke... a quiet night-in watching nonsense and talking gibberish after a busy week!
Half of them are on fire, half of them are flooding...

On the JD and coke........again. Yes, the man-flu has abated enough to partake again.

Watching HIGNFY, still good for a laugh, after watching that new series The State Within - not bad, worth tuning in again next week.

I've had a lot of insomnia lately so I think tonight I'll have a nice glass of La Fée Parisian Absinthe (68% abv)

Sounds great Rapunzell but having friends up for dinner today so will be slaving away in the kitchen, as will BC as he is cooking the main course, do you think there will be any left on Sunday?

Black Mamba, I've never tried absinthe, what does it taste like and do you drink it straight?

I'm a new convert to absinthe myself (still on my first bottle)
I drink the Parisien absinthe
Absinthe tastes like aniseed, if you like aniseed balls you'll love absinthe
(It's made with anis
The way to drink is
1. put a measure of absinthe in a glass
2. put an absinthe spoon (a fork would do) over the glass
3. put a sugar cube on the spoon and four
pour about double (some say up to four times) the amount of chilled water over the sugar cube, stir (the drink should turn cloudy)

http://www.lafeeabsinthe.com/

La Fée Absinthe is a highly alcoholic, anise-flavoured, distilled liquor containing the herb wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), green in colour, turning to cloudy, opalescent white when mixed with water. Highly aromatic, this spirit is dry and somewhat bitter in taste, with alcoholic content of 68 percent by volume.

Hope this helps.

Sandra.

Don't.

Just say no.

Like Zammo.

I did that once. Then I sicked it up, straight back into the glass.

You'd never even have known it had been inside me.

My friend certainly didn't notice.

Thanks. I like my coffee sweet but ran out of sugar. No choice , I used orange juice as a substitute. It isn't all that bad tasting though using it with Illy doesn't quite cut the mustard. Thank goodness I don't have acid reflux problems :P
