Dodgy Calls?

Post by under the sea » 09 Aug 2006, 18:18

I just had a phone call from a company claiming to be offering free doors and windows in my postcode area. Now, everyone knows there's no such thing as a free lunch (or window) so I obviously said I wasn't interested. The guy was insistant and fairly rude too - when I asked where their company was based he hesitated and asked why I was asking. When I replied he hung up. Dodgy or not I don't know but it didn't quite add up for me, so I thought it might be worth a mention ..

I've found that when I tell them I'm renting (which is true) they hang up really fast!!

Plug tell them he rents too (which is NOT true) with the same result.

Just a thought....
