Dada - pants on fire

Post by Beach Babe » 27 Feb 2005, 20:10

Dada is a liar liar pants on fire

I was mortified a few minutes ago when overhearing the lazy ass Dada on the phone. After looking at it, he couldn't be bothered to put the Betterware catalogue out for collection so he phoned up the people and said "My baby has eaten the catalogue". A blatant lie I must point out

it's no wonder his work colleagues call him Dr Evil

I'll explain the Dr Evil tag sometime. It's to do with the weekly coupon.

Mind you Dr Evil, you have my support with the Betterwear cataglogue

I absolutely hate the way they put that through your door and then expect you to give it back

Finders keepers as far as I'm concerned

I fear the person that put the Betterwear catalogue through Dada's door is an acquaintance of mine.

She had been telling me about the nice couple that are moving in soon and how she was expecting big sales, as they seemed fixated about germs, lead paint and stuff like that.

I don't see any way that something which is deliberately placed on your property without prior consent *isn't* yours. It's not even contract law where you can withhold stuff (retention or lieu) - it's an outright gift as there's no agreement between you and betterwares.

But here's a slightly trickier one - say you tried to deliver an expensive package to someone and put it through the wrong door by mistake - is it still yours? Could you take someone to court to get your property back?

Because, that would give her an "in" for storage solution systems. Before you know it you would have an electronic Santa climbing up and down your bedroom window.

Nope, sorry that would be an "In" for Bin Liners and chemical toilets
