Anyone else see it?
Yesterday I was watching the boat rowing by when a bird landed on a tree in the boat yard.
It was vertical on the trunk, flash of red on the head and at the underside of it's tail.
I've never seen one round here before, mind you I didn't notice the bats for years

Well spotted!

Never seen a woodpecker round here either. There have been waxwings on the ash tree at the juntion of Coillesdene Ave and Morton Street for any other birdwatchers out there. And one fieldfare yesterday too.

There's a forum Mr Soupy belongs to that has pictures of woodpeckers taken in the Figgate Park, also kingfishers.
So maybe it will flit down here again

We've seen a kingfisher in the Figgate Park once or twice but never a wood pecker. There was a rather large rat in the High Street on Tuesday though!
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!
