Anyone explain this behaviour? On and off, over the course of today, a blue tit has been pecking at our kitchen window - not the frame, but the glass. It's quite bizarre

I read somewhere it may be attacking its reflection, but it has been doing it at various times of day and the window is shaded, so I doubt if this is the case.

It's like a scene out of 'The Birds' now. Not content with attacking the kitchen window they're having a square go with the living room window and the dining room window too!
