It's been a while now that coverage has been on ITV as opposed to BBC2 - I was always afraid it would suffer but was wrong, and the ads are perfect for going to the loo, making coffee etc

I thought the ads and extra sponsorship would make it worse - but the sport is knee deep in sponsorship anyway that you don't notice the book-end logos etc.

Lewis Hamilton corrected himself at the press conference after his first win - someone asked him about the crowd and he said "it was great to see people with Maclaren Mercedes flags ... Vodafone Maclaren Mercedes flags"

Did you see them putting the wristwatches on the drivers the minute they got out of their cars?

Martin Brundle has been spot-on for years now, so entertaining when he's down in the pits. Up til now my favourite moment was at Monte Carlo when he went up to Bernie Ecclestone, pointed at the billions of dollars of yachts assembled and said "car park's busy isn't it?"

Today though he was electric. He was on the grid and wanted to speak to Vettel, the 19 year-old replacement driver - but he was putting on his helmet so he stood nearby with his microphone. One of Vettels' crew motioned for Brundle to go away and he immediately snapped back "gonna kick me off the grid son - you'll have to try harder than that"

I thought it was telling when they were talking to Andretti about the need to get an American driver into F1 and he said that it was great that Louis Hamilton was such a 'marketable' driver.
I have nothing to say and I'm going to say it.
