Thank you. I must confess to a little photoshopping on the lower half though.

Love the cloudless blue of the sky. Had a enjoyable time viewing your "Five pictures a week" gallery Wangi.

Thanks.

There was a lovely sky last night too (and I think tonight will be good too), and I wanted to get a few pics of that. But stripping the paper off the wall in the toilet was my prison for the evening! I'll be washing the walls and starting to fill & sand tonight - oh joy. Perhaps Dadaist & Beachbabe remember the decor needs of my house...

The "Five pictures a week" gallery will have a change the next few days as I'll be out at Edinburgh Park/Gyle...

Beautiful shots. I always enjoy my walk home from the gym along the Prom and these photographs remind me why.

That's gorgeous, Wangi.

If that's my fantasy, then my fantasy also has you looking like Orlando Bloom.

Would that be right?

How about some sunrise shots wangi? OK, so it means getting up rather early but we've had some beautiful dawns recently.

Yeah, me too. It was pitch dark! I was loaded with 1600ASA film but my f1.8 lens is out of commission, so I had to make do with an f4 zoom lens and my exposures were all way off... Have you ever tried focussing a camera on the beach at midnight?

Translation: I brought the wrong gear for night-time photography.

Alex,
I think the photos are very atmospheric and no, I've never tried to focus a camera on a beach at midnight, so 10 out of 10 for effort on your part.

Ecm, I reckon you'd have trouble focusing on anything on a beach at midnight :D :D :D

I'm waiting a bit... Till the sunrise matches my schedule! And it's more "straight ahead" from the beach!

And till I've got a new camera.

Certainly came out better than my night shots of the pink things! I had to force a 10sec exposure, thus bluring everything because of the waves!

Yet another sunset I'm afraid. I was standing in the sea at the time and getting some very strange looks from passers by?

What a beautifully groomed beach we have these days! Pity it was typical Scottish weather, damp and misty! :?

Yeah, we saw some of that programme. That guy was obsessed! He placed himself in some pretty dangerous situations.
Probably explains some of the amazing results he got.

Great program, and a great photographer. Nice shots HC (here and big things).

A few random shots from this week...

I was really suprised the last one came out as good as it did - a handheld 10 sec exposure by someone who'd had a lot of beers!

Great Photos too Wangi. I saw that rainbow as well but didn't make it to the beach on time. Love the one of the shore at night. Night shots can be so atmospheric don't you think? :D

My personal favourites, well along with nasty looking clouds and sunsets. My current camera's got a lot of dust on the lens though, would doesn't help things much.

Believe it or not the sky colour is genuine. It must be the street light pollution of Edinburgh. It surprised me as well, it's not what I expected to get!

Taken yesterday at the Statue Park outside Budapest (like that bit on Goldeneye where they've got all the old Lenin & Marx statues) - I love this photo because not only are there 3 terrors, there are also some tourists captured in the frame!!
