I was lying in bed the other night reading my book and minding my own business when I caught a whiff of something unpleasant

. Deciding it was probably Mr E's socks which he had flung under the bed I got out to have a look. He was exonerated - it wasn't his socks - it was a dead and decomposing mouse

Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

My sympathies.
We never appreciate cats gifts do we?
My sis found a dead magpie in her kitchen. One for sorrow. A few days later the smell under her bed alerted her to it's partner. Not really two for joy.
In spite of these incidents i still miss having a cat around.

Funny you should say that - we found another one on the landing floor this morning

. Think it's safe to say we have mice!

No chance of that - they were definitely dead

. Although the second one was a bit more pliable than the first

Oh dear, Epykat.
Anyone got any idea for getting rid of mice?
One of Clanger 1s pals thinks she may have them in her flat. She has guinea pigs but the roaming free, wild, mice are not welcome

I'm not keen on poison or traps so we're going for the plugging every hole we can find with expanding foam method. Selma loves her new house - she didn't have all these toys in the last one. They're much more fun than a bit of string

I was thinking the mice were being brought in from outside by Selma but if they are in the house already then I might change my mind and really want a pet cat
In his hey day Freddie would have dealt with any mice, he proved this by killing a gerbil that he oughtn't

but he's too slow these days. I wouldn't put him to the test mind you, he's kept well away from the guinea pigs just in case.

That's not funny. Not funny at all. I find that as funny as Marya would a snake stole... All these years here without letting on my own...not phobia exactly, more like undying hatred...

*shudder*
The only present our cat has ever brought us was a mouse; unfortunately, Lily, whose posh name is Artemis hahaha, only caught it because it was already dead in a trap.

All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!

We have the odd mouse or two in one of our garden sheds( better than in the house!!) I have one of those live traps set to catch any that should trespass!!! Then I can take it up to the field and release it and it can go to someone elses garden shed!!!
we're going for the plugging every hole we can find with expanding foam method.
Would the plugging the hole method not encourage the mouse to make a new hole somewhere else in the house?

Why be scared????

The theory is that whilst the wee mouse is sitting trying to chew another hole, Selma will catch it
