At what age should they start dating?

:D No idea, Izzie, but I seem to remember when I was 12 or 13 thinking that was the right time and my mother having very different ideas...! But then, I'm 34 now and I think she still doesn't like the idea.
All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!

If you're lucky they'll tell when they have a girl/boyfriend!

As quickly as possible so that they might then shack up together and leave home  .

Things have moved on this morning.
They want to go out for a meal, but as one is 13 and the other is 18 both mums are going with them, but we have to sit at an other table.

So looks like we could all be going to the chippie tonight.

Oh and we have to do the pushing as both will be in chairs

If only, Epykat, if only!
Had one try that, then it didn't work out and after a while sharing a flat she's home again.

teenagers often seem to arrive at our house in groups so it's hard to tell if anyone is "dating" anyone else. Finding them snogging on the settee is usually a good sign that they're not just friends

Youngest, at 13 has an on/off girlfriend, but they're still babies to me and seem too young for the emotional turmoil , suppose it's part of growing up. My saying no to any relationship at that age makes them more determined to go ahead so I just try to thole it.

I've tried to give them the appropriate info on contraception, nasty diseases, legalities and where to go for advise other than their nagging mother.
The emotional toll is hard on me as well as them as relationships are made and broken.

If it's your youngster with the poor impulse control I'm really not sure what advice to give,.

Ah, see why you worried.

What age is she?

Does she go out on her own at present?

I'd suggest arranging for the potential date to be at your house to watch dvds etc then you could keep a loose eye on them.

Well date over with, and all went well

We end up in his house drinking coffee well the adults did and the two of them painted a lovely picture for his wall.

There was lots of sillyness from them but it was nice to see them having a good time and they did not mind there always being an adult with them.

So now we are all going to a disco on Sat. so that will be hard work for us lot but again both mums are going

Glad all went well.
Getting together with the other mum a brilliant idea, she's probably just as worried as you.

Have fun at the disco \:D/
