Missing Cat

My wee dude Pepsi has gone missing, sometime yesterday, he sneaked out the house into the stair and someone must have let him out the back or the High Street

If anyone has seen him, please let me know asap. Missing him already

No luck yet, put some signs up. He has been an outdoor cat before so I don't know if I'm panicking too soon but he never been out in this part of the hood. Hope he is ok, his sister keeps meowing randomly

Unfortunately he hasnt got a collar, he was last seen running towards Adelphi Place (The old converted church).

I've searched, Rosefield, Adelphi, Baileyfield, Telferton, The allotments, Brighton, Pipe Street, Brickfield etc, Bridge Street and no luck so far.

What a shame Robin

I'm sure he'll have managed to shelter somewhere and let's face it there's an awful lot of us cat lovers here in Porty so chances are that he's managed to scrounge food too. I'll make sure I keep my eyes peeled for him round here.

Was he microchipped?
Have you mentioned him to the local vet surgery, if someone thought he was a stray they might take him in for a checkup.

I'll be out and about today, so I'll be looking and taking pix with my phone of any cat that I think looks similar, Robin.

Poor wee thing will be cold and wet and frightened. My thoughts are with you. I so hope he turns up soon.

He started life as a house cat so never got him chipped or anything.

I've got posters up but I'm going to expand the area that they are up, and put a sign in Scotmid too. Will also phone Penmans & D & C home tomorrow when everything returns to normal.

I know he'll be ok somewhere, but where is the question.

Good news people, pulled into the backgreen tonight and my neighbour said "is that your cat over there mate?" to which it was Pepsi found his way back after 9 days.. I'm delighted to say the least.

Think I might let him out more, as he has been an outdoor cat before but not before purchasing a collar.

Very chuffed about that. What a dirty stopout. I would go not only for the collar but also for the chip they put in these days - we kept finding Oscar's collar at various bits in the garden and eventually gave up.

Glad he's home.

A microchip might be an idea,my sis got told of her missing cat through a vet finding the chip.
Our cat used to loose his collars quite regularly

I lost a kitten up a tenement chimney once! I could hear it howling and screaming in the chimney cavity. In a panic I got an emergency builder to come in and try and retrieve it. he ended up taking chunks of the living room wall down to reach it. However, there was no sign of any cat and no more meowing. Believing it had probably died of fear, we left the rubble until we'd established where its body was. A week later and no obvious sign of a dead kitten, we put the place back together again. 4 weeks later, some students appeared at my door with a manky and much grown kitten they had found in their loft, about 7 stairs away!!! 14 years on, that cat's still going strong!!!! the cat in my avatar disappears up my current chimney, but so far has always come down...even if he is a bit sooty!

He's one of a pair of delinquent Tonkinese cats. The poseur's name is MacLean...named after the toothpaste. I'd only had him a few days when I came home to find him foaming at the mouth and generally running about the house like a mad thing!!! Scary stuff. Guess who'd attempted to scoff the toothpaste????

When I was a teenager we lived in a double upper flat off Leith Walk. One day I went to my dad saying I could hear a cat yowling, disbelieving he came upstairs, listened then went to get some tools. He lifted the floor boards and a young cat shot out. Turned out people at the other end of the street were getting work done and the poor wee thing must have been curious but was unable to get out and just kept going all the way along the street

Years ago my Dad and I drove from Portobello to my sister's in Cumbria. When we opened the boot of the car to get our bags out a cat (not ours)jumped out and ran hell for leather into the fields. Never did fiind it

I finally found out what happened to her almost exactly a year after I last saw her, from another neighbour who recognised a photo I showed him.

Turns out she was actually owned by a couple near me, who were never in, didn't have a cat flap in their door and the last time cat tried to visit them they took the chance to give her away. They wanted to have a toddler instead.
