Radio Free Porty is proud to announce...

Post by gilo » 21 Nov 2006, 15:41

Ok I'm sure you've read all about it, pure genius doesn't come cheap, there were casualties a long the way, but RFP is proud to announce its new set.

DJ Rathbone kicks off proceedings with some beautiful tunes that will help us all in contact with those long neglected places inside and help us "Release Our Inner Hippy".

DJ Mop takes over the baton moving us in the direction of real genius and real music. A set to behold, "Bathsheba 3" is dedicated, hand picked for your satisfaction, classical music at its best.

DJ Kipling takes over with a range so wide its undefinable and indescribable. Music to educate, "Quiet Please", and listen.

DJ Megadom, from Sterolab to Ali Farke Toure, these things are the best of the best of the best. Megadom brings them into your living room. Turn off your radio, turn on RFP and let Megadom's fourth set entertain you.

DJ Ines, sweet sweet Ines, "Songs to make you cry" does exactly was what it says on the label.

DJ Gilo, what can I say except learn to body pop and get down. "Hip to the hop to the skip to the beat, Daddio".

DJ Jake needs no title his set is that good. This kid knows his music and is willing to share it with you.

DJ Hotlemons - He's back. He mixes he dances he's gonna take you up up and away. Hotlemons was born for this.

AmericanaOK - with the creation of the "bl_oody awful thread" this guy has the power to change the direction of history. Imagine what his music can do for you. Alt Country is where the smary money is, and Americana doesn't disappoint. Respect.

I had to wipe away some tears I was laughing so hard.

IV's friend has submitted a late-entry show which is a stormer. I'm in the privileged position of being able to listen to mp3s of all the shows at my convenience - it would be illegal if I put these up for download, and the license to do so would be prohibitive.

I do, however, want each and every one of you to be able to listen to this scream of a set by what is soon to become a household name :

DJ Copper Bunce

PM me if you would like to know exactly when and how to tune in to get Bunce's set.

It has been recorded in somebody's studio, and his voiceovers have to be heard to be believed. Just when I thought it was really good, the movie reviews started.

Bunce's approach to movie reviews is the most original, unique and hernia-inducingly funny thing I have heard all year.

PM me to find out more. I think I might have to create a podcast out of the bits between the songs.

IV - your friend is a star.

DJ Copper Bunce is currently on rotation so if you listen long enough you'll hear it. Or you could PM me for some more precise instructions.

Jeez. I rebooted everything as well. Given what IV experienced when he tried to stream from his place, I think we have honest to goodness technical problems which aren't resolved.

While the stream is down, I don't think the MCPS/PRS will mind if people listen online to a stream of this file :

Please only listen to a streaming version of this file (that is, click on it once with the left mouse button). Please do not do a right-click on the link and "save as".
