How is your hangover?

Post by Dadaist » 29 Oct 2005, 04:14

Ouch. Had an extremely enjoyable 5-person pool tourney yesterday at Jock's Lodge's renowned "New Yorker" establishment. Together with pool, company and food, I also aimed myself at a few ciders, and I think there is an arrow stuck in my head now.

You guys have my sympathies indeed...I believe that hangovers make no distinction between men and women, unlike colds and flu

You should have come to our night in :D

Sympathy coming right back at you.

In one of the Pratchett books there's a God of Hangovers.

Possibly. Wonder if grinding in his sleep led to his current dental state?

Off topic but isn't it hard to post without Smileys

I almost can't manage it...in fact I really really want to put one on here but I'm going to resist if I can

I wonder who it was who realised that and invented them?

I suppose they help to determine the tone in which something is "said".

Some people really dislike them though.

Dada - your night out on the green baize may explain the closed upstairs curtains this morning at Dada Towers. But I do hope is does not explain the downstairs curtain that has, as it were, come off its rail!!

I've always tried to avoid fame but for some reason have always wanted a stalker. Poppy, you've not got those receipts I chucked out last week by mistake have you?

In the run-up to world war 2 the Italian embassy in Moscow used to shred all its waste and put it in the garbage. The Soviets duly collected it and shipped it to a large warehouse full of people who painstakingly pieced together confidential documents from the confetti.

Breakfast:
Lots of orange juice and water

Lunch:
Some fruit

Dinner:
More water. Some fruit.

Also, throughout the day, take some Vitamin C type pills - Berocca, something like that, as well as a multi-vitamin pill and some omega 3 type oil - I'd recommend Flax seed, but it's up to you.

And then with breakfast, I'd also have chips, beans, 2 fried eggs, white sliced bread with butter; have a pizza and chips with the luch I recommended above, then have a curry from Cinnamon for your dinner. Get them to deliver, they won't mind, even if Bob does. Oh, and watch as much as rubbish television as possible.

My mother has what she calls the perfect hangover cure.

When I lived at home, just before I went out she'd scream at me in a very loud high-pitched squeal ... "DON'T DRINK!!!"

I could never duplicate it!

A wise woman.
I'll try this out with the elder Clangers or better still wait til the morning after then shout it.

Mind you I might not want to annoy them and have them hide the voddie
