Muse - Origin of Symmetry
The one with New Born and Plug in Baby on it.
New Born's brillant - nice and quiet and suddenly this fuzzy bass comes in, slowly builds and then explodes in volume. Remember the video has everything shaking when it comes in.

Just realised that Muse are regular charters and I have there latest one. They sound a bit like Talking Heads I think or am I thinking of Razorlight?

My favourite at the moment is Amy Winehouse and
Rehab

I've been listening to the Hoff quite a lot lately. He's in the charts I think.

The Hoff single makes him sound like a kerb crawling perv. Chris Moyles did a brill hatchet job on it the other morning.

I like the way that, apart from his mouth, his face is incapable of movement.

whilst listening to random play this morning a tune came on I really liked. It was tricky to dance to, I needed to improvise. I went over to look at what it was, well blow me if it wasn't Boards of Canada - Telephasic Workshop.

what happened was that Gordon Anderson left, apparently because of 'mental' problems, but continued doing stuff as 'Lone Pigeon' in the meantime, which was pretty damn good and more like 3EPs than the later Beta Band stuff was. He's just started The Aliens, with a couple of other ex-Beta Band people, and you can hear their fab new single The Happy Song
here.
As for me, I'm going through an Adam & The Ants phase.

Like the aliens! Songs in the key of Fife- ha ha. Think eldest Clanger will love it.
Thank you for widening my musical outlook..
My self I'm listening to Gordon Giltrap- Visionary. A "concept" album from the mid 70's. The concept was the works of Blake.

Ali Donaldson aka William Mysterious played bass with Silly Wizard before joining the Rezillos, whose debut single 'Can't Stand My Baby' is electro-fied by Steve Bronski.

Ah got it now. Think he was credited as Alastair Donaldson. Still would never have twigged. You should win points for that
