Thank you. I must confess to a little photoshopping on the lower half though.wangi wrote:That last one's easily the best I've seen of the "installation"! The yellow/peach sky really does look good behind the pink.

Thanks.Marya wrote:Love the cloudless blue of the sky. Had a enjoyable time viewing your "Five pictures a week" gallery Wangi.
There was a lovely sky last night too (and I think tonight will be good too), and I wanted to get a few pics of that. But stripping the paper off the wall in the toilet was my prison for the evening! I'll be washing the walls and starting to fill & sand tonight - oh joy. Perhaps Dadaist & Beachbabe remember the decor needs of my house...
The "Five pictures a week" gallery will have a change the next few days as I'll be out at Edinburgh Park/Gyle...
It's good when you're proved right!wangi wrote:There was a lovely sky last night too (and I think tonight will be good too)

If that's my fantasy, then my fantasy also has you looking like Orlando Bloom.Bob wrote:If that's how you like to imagine me I shan't spoil your fantasy.
Would that be right?
All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!

Yeah, me too. It was pitch dark! I was loaded with 1600ASA film but my f1.8 lens is out of commission, so I had to make do with an f4 zoom lens and my exposures were all way off... Have you ever tried focussing a camera on the beach at midnight?Porty wrote:Its looking good but I think i prefer Wangi's sunset shots.

Certainly came out better than my night shots of the pink things! I had to force a 10sec exposure, thus bluring everything because of the waves!Alex wrote:Yeah, me too. It was pitch dark! Yet another sunset I'm afraid. I was standing in the sea at the time and getting some very strange looks from passers by?

Only after the last tree has been cut down, only after the last river has been poisoned, only after the last fish has been caught, only then will you find, that money cannot be eaten.

Yeah, we saw some of that programme. That guy was obsessed! He placed himself in some pretty dangerous situations.Marya wrote:Anyone see the programme on the tele last night about the guy behind the "Earth from the Air" exhibition that was on at the Botanics during the Festival? Great viewing. just think what you'd be able to snap if you only had Epykat's helicopter Hell's Cat
Probably explains some of the amazing results he got.
Great program, and a great photographer. Nice shots HC (here and big things).
A few random shots from this week...

Rainbow yesterday: http://pbase.com/wangi/image/33691997

Shore at midnight, Friday: http://pbase.com/wangi/image/33682711
I was really suprised the last one came out as good as it did - a handheld 10 sec exposure by someone who'd had a lot of beers!

Great Photos too Wangi. I saw that rainbow as well but didn't make it to the beach on time. Love the one of the shore at night. Night shots can be so atmospheric don't you think?

Believe it or not the sky colour is genuine. It must be the street light pollution of Edinburgh. It surprised me as well, it's not what I expected to get!
