The wee ledge wasn't there when Mrs Blackbird first began her nest building a few weeks ago, and despite her valient attempts to build a nest,every bit of twig, straw ,leaves etc fell to the ground. This went on for about two weeks and she just wouldn't give up. We got a bit worried about her health so one day one of the girls decided to put up the ledge, and what happened ?........she took the huff and didn't come back. Then lo and behold a couple of weeks ago she reappeared and decided she liked it after all

The picture tells the rest of the story.

Mr Arachnid and I were here yesterday and had a great day,

hardly stopped walking from half past eight till four o'clock in the afternoon!!!
So much to see and do and even the weather stayed dry, although a bit cool at times, but ideal for walking about!!!

Recommended as a " great day out"!!!

You're right Wangi about the telly - I had the sunset to my left but the Argentina game to my right and was only vaguely aware of the sunset!

The mix of the colours on the bit where the tide is out is really nice.

she wouldn't be too thrilled with your spelling either - "years" doesn't have a "t" in it.

The nice one stuck with me too. Unfortunately the knew instead of new just gets me every time and I can't, for the life of me, understand why it won't stick.

Aaaaaaaaaargh!!! One of my pet hates - people who 'quote' photographs in their posts. An out of focus picture of a biscuit now appears six times in this thread. It's driving me crackers!

So the forum rules forbid criticism of a poster's poor spelling but you can quite happily slag off the poor guy's out of focus biscuit. (Ginger) Nuts!!
