It's very easy Izzie. Just have a wee look at our "How do I?" Forum. There's a whole thread about how you go about getting an avatar.Izzie wrote:I would just like to know how to go about getting one![]()
Not got a clue![]()
Tell us about your avatar!
Mmm...don't apologise Izzie, it does sound a bit more complicated than I remembered!Izzie wrote:Had a look at how do I all double dutch to me![]()
I use a Mac so this is of some help only, but this is what I did :
1. Opened a free account at http://smg.photobucket.com to store my avatars, pics etc.
2. Copied an avatar or gif. that I found browsing the net onto my desktop. With a Mac there's no right clicking business you just drag and drop.
3. Used my photobucket account to upload the avatar from my desktop to my photobucket account. The instructions on the site are dead easy to follow.Once the image has successfully appeared in your new Photobucket album, copy the URL from under the newly uploaded image.
4. Open your user profile settings on the Forum and scroll down to the avatar section. Paste in the URL info which you copied from Photobucket and press submit.
Just remember that avatars must not be wider than 120 pixels or greater than 20k in size. You can do some basic editing of images in Photobucket.

I heard Marya is always trying to get a good one of Homer!Cleopas wrote:My avatar is recognisable of course. Bart is probably a good motif for anyone who is an anarchist at heart ... like most 8 year old kids ... which I try to be at all times. Peter Pan ain't got nut'n' on me!
I tried to get a good one of Homer the Great, but couldn't find a decent one I liked of the Great Yellow Genius.
Help, anyone?

Is your old avatar a video clip from you lot on a pol night out?
The female in the front looks just like you.
Can't say I've ever noticed much in the way of co-ordination at a POL nightout, apart from the hand to glass to mouth variety
And if the dancing babe is ecm who might her sidekicks be... Ali bare chested in the Ali-baba white pants, Dada in the trendy but oh-so masculine blue leg warmers and Bob in his fave Spidey-man night-out disguise
I doubt if any of the aforementioned could get their legs up that high without doing themselves a damage but I'd like to see them try all the same.foxy wrote:Mate of Marya wrote:
