Dr Who

Post by Mate of Marya » 16 Apr 2006, 13:58

Did anyone watch the first episode of the new Dr Who series last night?
My children have waited in anticipation for this programme to be broadcasted. I was up four times during the night with them having nightmares. Fortunately, they decided themselves not to watch the second episode next Saturday. In fact, the youngest said he is never watching Dr Who again!

Surely a tradition! I remember having nightmares the first time round about cybermen (except I thought they were siver men who would come up through the drains)
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

Dr. Who

Are Cybermen NOT horrible siver men from the drains then ?- I thought the same and was absolutely petrified of them, although always thought the daleks were OK. I don't think daleks could go up slopes or hills, so Scotland was basically OK. Holland was s**t scared, tho!
Didn't see David Tennant's first episode of Dr. Who but recently watched an old episode of Rab C. Nesbitt where he played a transvestite barmaid called Davina. :)

I hid from the the Cybermen too. And the Ice Warriors.

I think the creepiest story so far in this recent run has been the "Mummy...............are you my Mummy?" one.

I dunno. Bill Roache and David Tennant are looking well hard and up for some aggro whereas our Bob looks like he's looking at a basket full of fluffy kittens or in some lovely kind of trance.

or something.

Someone needs to photo-shop in some side-boards for Bob too.

What do you mean I haven't changed in 25 years? You think I was cryogenically frozen? That was me a quarter of a century ago.

Er yes, I was being ironic. I do *know* that's an old pic!

Anyway, you haven't answered my question. Are you coming to the pub tomorrow?

Of course. I still have that interview with William Mysterious to finish that we began in 1979 apart from anything else, if I can remember where we got to. Plus, I'm quite sure you owe me several drinks.

Bob was so fashionably late he failed to show.

However, he had a good excuse, and it would be ungentlemanly (so to speak) to spill the beans as to why).

Suffice to say, *I* had a good time anyway, with those who did put an appearance in!
