Never realised when I took this shot that i was capturing a little piece of history. Remember the days when then were two bus shelters there..?

North Berwick is a lovely place. One of these days I shall climb the Law.

Perhaps Sandra and I will power-walk it as part of our training regime.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

The top flat of the big building with the gable end facing (beside the harbour) used to belong to my Aunty and Uncle. It's a beautiful flat which looks right out to sea and the lifeboats launch from underneath the building. I believe it used to be a granary. There was a grand piano in the living room which had traditionally been sold with the house because it was too expensive to get the crane to move it out of the window :D. I think they sold it to an American millionaire to use as a holiday home.

Last time we climbed to the top of the Law there was a plane passing just above us and the pilot tipped his wings and waved to us - I felt like Vera Lynn during the War waving off my sweetheart

Mr TG and myself went for a run down to North Berwick today. We shared a romantic fish supper in the little park. Yum.

Healthy eating plan starts next week so making the most of it now.

Did you go to that brilliant wee chippy opposite the car park toilets where you can sit in? If not, you should have :D

We certainly did, but we only wanted to share a supper so we didn't think they would let us sit in and ask for one supper with two forks and knives  hence the visit to the park.

We were there. It was brilliant. Beach Babe, Neo Dadaist, Neice of Dadaist and myself went down yesterday and that was the only place open - it was mobbed. We each had ice-cream and hot chocolate.

NoD is 6, and when she walked in she waltzed past the huge queue for takeaway fish suppers on her way to the seating area at the back, and said in a very loud voice "I really need my fish and chips!" and the people in the queue fell about - it was priceless.

What a fantastic property to live in.
I hope you work hard at being Aunty and Uncle's favourite niece as it seems they might be loaded.

I've heard there's a great Kebab place somewhere in North Berwick too.

My son loves the sit-in place mentioned earlier. Must have day down in NB soon.

Thanks, thumper.

I shall persuade Dan to have a takeaway from the other chippy next time we're there so I can get myself a kebab.

Mmmm kebabs.

Depending on the weather, I walk home through the Figgate Park with Dan sometimes after picking him up from school.
I got him to have a look at Dakota's pics earlier and asked him where he thought they were of and he said "Narnia".
I laughed and said, "not quite, Narnia, no".

His second guess was Granton.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha - eh? :?
