Guess the Bill?

Post by Porty » 19 Nov 2005, 13:52

I used to like playing this game with the kids and it funnier now that they realise how much eating out can cost.
As you may be aware, we had a trip to the Parliamenyt yesterday and Sandra sorted it so we could eat in the members restaurant, Which, is breathtaking, Sandra, I cant thank you enough.

There were seven of us we alll had starters and main courses and 3 people had coffee, no desserts.

Potato and Watercress soup served with a lovely granary roll.
Smoked chicken salad with onion marmalade

Roast chicken breast on a bed of baby roast potatoes and vegetables,.
Cod fillet ion a bed of olive mas and mange tout.

2 litre bottles of strathmore

3 bottles of house wine.

How much tdo you think the bill was?

Weird - I voted for 100 pounds and there were only three choices - 75, 100 and 125.

When I looked at my vote there was an extra 150 pounds category, and my vote went in at 125.

Fairly typical finance shenanigans given it's the Scottish Parliament.

I voted £100 too but that included the 7 tips (£5 per head)

The winners are £75 and there are 2 of you. Bill was £78 + odds and we left a £10 tip, which was optional and deserved. A very pleasureable and highly recommended experience. :D :D :D
