Anyone else watching this? I wanna start a band. I can't sing, I can't play an instrument and I'm not gay. Is this a problem?
Suggested set list:
Louie Louie (drunken/unintelligible)
Can't Stand My Baby
Anything from the Stooges
Ramones medley
Ain't No Surf
Exit stage left and refuse to play encores
Post modern ironic groupies, drugs etc.

I'd buy a ticket to see that!
I'd forgotten that the programme was on. Must remember to tune in next week.
Are they going through the decades week by week?

I certainly am. Looking fwd to the glam rock and punk stuff. I was/am a big fan of Bolan and Bowie. Remember when they dueted on Marc's TV show shortly before he died? It would be nice to see a clip from that again.

It be hard to cover the glam stuff without them, right enough.

Bolan was only in his twenties when he died so they'd be really young men in that pic.

So glad I came on for a wee nose, didn't know that programme was on but am now recording it. Bowie and Marc Bolan were two of my biggest heroes. Almost every squre inch including the ceiling of my bedroom was plastered with posters of Marc Bolan at one time
Must have a rummage to see if I still have some of their albums, because I can't play them anymore I forget what I've still got.

Me too. I was the first kid at school to wear platform shoes. A few years later my classmates were doing SYS while I was holed up in the common room playing an import copy of the Ramones first album. Tonight's show was basically the soundtrack of my life.

Apologies for lowering the standard. Just watched Pans People doing a Gilbert O'Sullivan song. I used to have that on a K-Tel pseudo album.
I believe PP are re-forming. I liked the short dark haired one with the prominent beak.

It's always interesting to see the old clips but this programme is really just the same old, same old, isn't it.
Don't think I'm too bothered for next weeks New Romantics.

Yes i do mean the originals. I read something a few days ago that said they were getting together to promote a charity (help the aged?) or something like that. Cherry, you say?

Yeah, but the Captain was looking better than he did 25 years ago.
What's that all about?

I think the Captain must have been Botoxed! He looks younger now than he did then and he must be in his early 50s!
