Great photos Wangi

The sky was beautiful in the east this morning

There was a strikingly mysterious orange glow around 8.30

It's owned and run by a man called John, a local artist. Really nice guy and good framer.

Amazing pictures of skies, Wangi. Reminds me of when I had time to lie back and watch the clouds going by - must make time for that again - perhaps when the sun is shining and a bit warmer :D

As usual Wangi great pics

Got your rainbow ones framed - expensive - but they look fabulous - one I kept, one for my mum's Christmas and one for my friend's new year pressie. I hung mine in the kitchen - gives me great inspiration. Keep them coming...

We had our annual trip to winter wonderland on Monday (later than anticipated - was supposed to be Boxing Day with grandfather, and then NY Day with my brother and family but poured with rain so we went to the zoo instead - don't ask  ) and the ice was melting so they had to sweep off the water - I'm told they always do this in the afternoon anyway, but it really was mild that day and people were trying to skate through huge puddles of water!

Thanks guys - it certainly was a hard shot to get scrambling around the rocks at the foot of the Nelson Monument! I like the fire shots from that night better, but the site I host my photos on is down... so...

Ah! I had wondered where you were standing.

BTW Bellybabe really liked your photos too. Especially the black and white shots. Very atmospheric (and proof that you braved the 'big wheel' :P ).

Wangi,

"The Drip" is absolutely stunning!! How long were you hovering to get that shot?

I also really like the torchlight procession shot with the silhouettes of the folks in headgear. Very atmospheric.

That "drip "is amazing Wangi

I love the reflection of the tap in the water...it never occurred to me before that that would happen :?

Your patience is admirable :)

I was really careful taking that one - the tide was coming in quite fast and... and... I got caught by the tide the Sunday before on Portobello Beach

Wrong! Couldnae see any moon! At all, even when I decided it was a good time to check for storm damage to the roof... :)

It's manage to get lost I think, either that or it's hiding behind Coillesdene House...

Fabulous sunset this evening. Looking down Bath St towards the Prom, I have to admit that I thought the modern white facade of the new building set it off quite nicely. If I was trying to sell it I think it would have made a great picture.

Sorry about the size - but the smaller version looks rubbish (due to the JPEG compression):

Recently I've taken a lot of B&W shots (here are some from a Catz sat image inspired walk on Saturday) and decay... So it's a good change to have a splash of colour!

And here's one from windy Sunday:
