I just did one of my years - half of my workload.

And watched "Dune" at the same time.

Only if he stayed on for a very long time BB!! My mother didn't believe in having too many babies around at once so she did tend to space the three of us out a bit :D
Hi BB.

Rathbone lives in the wilds of Hertfordshire and is a child of the 1940s. Epykat came along a lot later as a wee accident in our parents twilight years.

Probably of me ...

Because I haven't done any

Despite a genuine desire to do my bit, I've been thwarted. I did warn that I can't do evenings, and of course I'm not on-line at home, but I was hoping the get-togther to mail would be a weekend - which it isn't. :( :( - and you're all finished anyhow!

I did try to fix up an internet outlet over the weeknd but it dveopled a virus (I'm not having anyone on!)

However, I am going down to Furness this weekend, and I WILL wear my t-shirt .....................

You never know - I may get accosted by an ex-pat Portyperson in Tesco's in Barrow.

He's not replied to the PM I sent him...do you think he's left the country in secret? Did you allocate him all his exs? What did you do to scare the boy, young Bob?

PS No, no reason. Chimney corners?

PPS Please excuse me - I'm just back from college after an accidental six month gap and my new tutor seems to expect us to actually work. That's why I'm a little fried.

It's a shame I can't find either my film-type camera OR the digi one I was given BEFORE I moved (and did not have time to learn how to use!). I could get a pic. taken, if he does spot me. He should join POL, then we could spladoosh each other .....

No. I was going to suggest that we do it but then felt it would be better to tackle one at a time, as it was a lot of work. I'm hoping we will get onto that once PHS is done, but we haven't had a discussion about it yet.

I've been having a look at the FR website. There is a PHS messageboard, several in fact, so I have posted a message there about Portobello Online. One of the boards is devoted to famous ex-PHS pupils, of which more later. Another is for old school photos. The one pasted below is from 1949. As well as several new forum members who have joined as a result of the FR project (and many more lurkers I'm sure) we are still getting feedback via Joanna's inbox. Here are a few recent ones:
Thanks Joanna. What a superb website. It'll take me hours to get round it!.
Thanks for the link. I will be a definite regular visitor and will pass it to my family..
i would be delighted to visit the web site.a good idea.
Dear Joanna
Please do not send me more e-mails.
Well, some you win...

Can we have confirmation that everyone has now completed their task? Any years still to do?

Cornerboy, I have taken care of 1970 as promised. How far have you got with the rest? Anyone else need a hand?
