Cold Callers

Post by Puerto bella » 16 Dec 2011, 19:05

To save you getting up from the comfort of your chair cold callers with hold alls are doing the rounds in Porty trying to sell rubbish right now - thermal ice scrapers for your car... etc. Dont bother opening the door.

Generally speaking I'd say Thats good advice PB. However its not all bad. I had a cold caller recently and i bought a little spy video kit. Its ideal for monitoring unwelcome strangers who knock on the door.It works brilliantly . The guy keeps coming back to sell me other stuff but Im on to him.

You'll be entering Readers Digest competitions to win a million, changing power provider and buying double glazing on the doorstep next Stephen.....
I thought it was only the over 80s that did that sort of thing when they got caught on the hop;)

Have visions of Indiana Jones movie security now complete with boulders or do you just flick that switch if a PAS, CC or PPAG collector comes a calling ;)

And to think I had considered chapping your door last night, instead of taking part in the rugby scrum that was the queue for the night bus back to Porty. :blackeye:

I was in the scrum! But you would have been welcomed. Had a great day out, organised by Mr Roy- 28 old guys. food, wine, sing song and dancing and all the laughs one could manage!
