Portobello Park Open Space Consultation
The Neighbourhood Partnership is looking for views on how to spend the remaining £150,000 on Open Space improvements outwith the park.
Portobello Park Open Space Consultation
07 September 2011
A sum of £150,000 has been identified for open space improvements (outwith Portobello Park), as compensation for the loss of PortobelloParkwhen the new Portobello High Schoolis built.
The Portobello and Craigmillar Neighbourhood Partnership has been tasked with determining what the most appropriate and beneficial use of this funding will be.
They would like to hear your views on how this money should be spent.

What about trees in containers along the west end of the prom where the bus depot is?

Seanie, do you know if the entire £150,000 is being made available? I thought some of this had already been spent on path upgrading round Portobello Park, but the NP link doesn't make any mention of this.

There was £500,000 set aside in the budget, £350,000 of which has been committed to the Park itself. The remaining £150,000 is still to be decided on. There was an NP paper giving indicative costs for various measures. I'll try to find it.
