Hi Mycroft :D Thanks for the article "City powerless to stop masts" from Scotsman Evening News by JANE BRADLEY on Thu 17 Aug 2006 ~

"NINE giant radio masts stretching 29 metres high are to be erected around Edinburgh with the city council powerless to stop them.

"The towering structures will be appearing in residential areas including Morningside, Craigmillar and Portobello as part of a drive by Network Rail to improve communications between train drivers and signallers."

Hi Mycroft. This topic hasn't been mentioned on here but was previously posted on Portobello Matters under Masts. Unfortunately no-one seems to know much about the possible location of the Portobello one. :?

It was Izzie posted the article on "Porty Matters" a week or so ago.

They haven't said yet where exactly they want to site these monsters ... but you can bet it'll be where WE don't want them to be!!!

btw Mycroft ... I know your dumber brother. Read all about his "adventures" ... Do you think he's a bit of a fibber ... or is it that pal of his, Watson, that's the liar???

Yes ... well, expect a rise in leukemia and related cancers in those areas then.
