Expect "Bogus Workmen" and "Doorstep Fish Sellers" to put forward a PPC representative at the next elections. Think what a "Supported by Portobello Community Council" badge could do for business.

I'm not for one minute suggesting that "Bogus Workmen" or "Doorstep Fish Sellers" would be allowed to put forward reps to PCC. They would have to disguise their true intent, like PPAG with their "save green space" mendacity.

BW and DFS could have a field day once they become members of PCC, enjoying the blanket protection of the Chair to peddle whatever false claims they wish on their websites.

My view is that the website of a group represented on a community council is solely the responsibility of that group and is not a topic that should be debated at a community council meeting..................and that the PCC should not even discuss a motion of censure regarding one of its group members.

They increased the font size of 'SIGNIFICANT MAJORITY', put some of the existing text into bold type, added a piss-poor justification for their 'housing on the golf course' claim (albeit one they've used already).

Couple of other minor additions as well, but nothing significant.

A direct result of the protection the Chair of PCC awarded PPAG. Can you imagine, when having to explain to PCC the basis for their "significant majority" claim, they conclude by saying they intend to increase the font size!! - wouldn't have been acceptable, would it?
