I didn't make myself clear, its bullshit arguments which are intimidated. I'm not sure how the bullshitters feel when it happens.

I don't know what environments you refer to where Sean apparently won't discuss things "face to face". Are you certain its cowardice? Perhaps its a desire not to waste one's breath on deaf ears. Let's face it most of the Sean opposers on here, when it comes to policy documents, can't properly interpret the written word, discussing with them would be less productive.

I don't know if you were involved in the Viridor success but if you did I hope you were more convincing on stage. Sean cut and paste the actual conclusion from the public inquiry, not his own argument or opinion, the actual conclusion. There was no evidence that need, or lack of, was a significant factor. The salient factors were laid out very clearly.

May I respectfully suggest that you are the one sidestepping discussion on anything approaching a mature and factual basis. Show me where "need " or "capacity gap" was a significant actor in the decision to refuse and I'll meet face to face to congratulate you.

I don't want to know what your involvement was, I never asked. My request was for you to cut and paste the relevant section(s) of the PI report, where "need" is considered significant in the decision to refuse. It it doesn't exist its difficult to see what grounds you have for challenging the conclusion, in other words: Sean is correct.

The conclusion quoted contained no input from Sean, incessant or otherwise. It is the official public record of the PI and its outcome. I'm sure the community will be delighted with your intelligence assessment but some may ask "why does she want us to focus on the partial recall of some unnamed individuals of an event that happened over a year ago and NOT the official record of what went down?" - Is she flattering to deceive?

Of course the reasons for refusal are important, because they may influence whether Viridor try again with a new proposal, and the likelihood of success. Since the grounds for refusal rested on the visual impact, if Viridor could address that problem then they'd be in a very strong position with a new application. Difficult to see how they'd do that, so maybe the prospect is remote, but there have certainly been rumblings that Viridor hadn't given up on the freightliner site.

Yeah, but let's say Viridor did come up with a scheme which overcame the visual impact issue. The dispute ends up in court or at another Public Inquiry. Surely all PONGS need do is pitch up and call Viridor, sad liitle men and advise them to get al life.

When it comes to Viridor, all the available evidence indicates your understanding of why the application was refused is unfounded.You have imagined the reasons for the outcome and seek to provide proof by using the powers of recall of persons unknown. It is entirely unconvincing on a internet bulletin board and must be even less convincing in the rooms that count.

As for sticking up for yourself, since you mention it, I'd suggest you go way, way beyond that. You consistently go out and deliberately pick fights in a very occasionally funny, but always nasty and vindictive way. Of course you're not the only one one here to do this, I do it too, but you're the only one who's acting as if their own sh*t doesn't stink.
