Evening News and Portobello

Post by Raimes » 07 Oct 2009, 16:10

Hello,

My name is Victoria and I'm a new general reporter with the Evening News. One of the areas I will be covering is Portobello, so I thought I'd introduce myself and leave some details in case any of you want to get in touch about issues and stories in the area.

I should be visiting the area next week so if you see a startled-looking person clutching a notepad, feel free to say hello.

Thanks

Victoria

The EN could have a section dedicated to you.

Hi all,

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to the anonymous caller from Portobello who got in touch with me the other day - I know he views these forums. It really helped me out, and you'll see the story in the Evening News this morning.

Anyone remember to get in touch if you've got any sort of issue with/concern about the area.

Thanks again,

Victoria

Good luck to you, and kudos for sticking your head above the parapet.

What's news to me is the idea that The Evening News actually employ reporters, the current standard of reporting is generally appalling, with mediocre patches. I blame the trams, or the council, or both.

Was the story the one about the PHS golf academy? 8)

It wasn't. I have linked it here:

A real shame, the people there were a lovely bunch.
