Disaster, the Porty windsocks and their poles are being removed from the beach as I write. Anyone know if they're coming back?

We were just wondering the other day when they would be coming down. They were looking a bit sad and weatherbeaten but I'll miss them all the same.
I'm not aware of any plans to reinstate them.

I will certainly miss them too especially the one at our end of the prom, its
the first thing I do (or did) when I get up in the morning, open up the window and check it out
Why could they not have left the poles and we could have bought some new socks to replace the old tired ones, they can't be that expense surely
We could have got sponsors for new wind socks - I'm sure the Porty Rugby Club would have sponsored one and various others would have been interested too

It's a real shame

How old would you be, if you didn't know how old you are?

They were good while they lasted, but they were looking a bit weather-beaten recently....

same here, Lizzie. (great guide to the clothing required for the bracing walk to school of a morning)
the magnolian clan's lives are all a little poorer today...
It goes to show that, er, art is, er, a good thing. I think.
Well it certainly goes to show that BTOTB have got some good ideas - keep them coming, I say!

I'll miss 'my' sock too (in fact I think it was the same one as Mr M's).

Think we shared the same sock too Poppy. I'm also very sad to see them disappear.

They really socked it to us - but now that we have lost socks, it's time to put a sock in it.

There may have been days when all four pointed in different directions, but they were usually very handy.

Mr M, Think you've got a double! I can't have been wearing the beer goggles and took it very easy alcohol wise this afternoon, thought I saw you on the prom riding a bike and waved..... closer up realised it wasn't you

but whoever it was smiled anyway
