And now for Hogmanay.......
And now for Hogmanay.......
Yes, we were the mental duo trying to put up the gazebo yesterday morning
It was just a trial run - sober - in preparation for the big night. My next door neighbour thought he was seeing things when the whole thing started moving about the garden like a giant blue beastie while we tried to find the right spot for it! Now.... does anybody have a spare metal dustbin?
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

Dare I ask
How old would you be, if you didn't know how old you are?

This is what comes of working in an Art Department
Did stop short of painting them though - thought that would be going a bit far! Now got the polystyrene cups organised and will be sure to use one of the many recipes for lentil soup from another thread.
I'm actually beginning to quite enjoy this
Although, did get a wee bit concerned when Mr E wondered out loud if the gazebo would fit in the living room if perchance the weather is crap
It might - but I'm not so sure about the calypso band.....

Hello theoutsider,
I reckon wearing a paper bag on your head and singing Kumbaya makes you a little mental too but whatever gets you through the night!
I thought it was just people like Posh'n'Becks that had beige carpets, oh and my friends Gerry and Claire. They had matching cream carpets and cream suite then we visited them . We put mud from the pushchair all over the carpet and then my son launched himself at me and spilt my glass of red wine all over the cream suite. Funnily enough we haven't seen them for years now....teddygirl wrote:Epykat, maybe when Mr E wondered if the gazebo would fit in the living room, he meant upside down. That way it would protect your beautiful beige carpet. After all that's why you decided on the garden party idea.![]()

I've just spent a fruitless half an hour trying to buy some outside candles/lanterns for tonight Epykat, inspired by your lentils. Might have to clear out some of those half empty jars of pickle and jam that lurk in the depths of my fridge

we have cream carpet in living room and hall - not through choice I may add inherited and a pain to keep clean.
Best red wine story is one where a friend of ours got pissed at his wifes friend's new house and was telling this amazing story while waving his red wine glass in his hand - you've guessed it - the newly painted white wall beared the brunt.
