Isn't Life Strange?

Post by Porty » 19 Nov 2004, 22:57

On a Friday, my favourite thing to do,usually with Pal of Porty, is to get hammered. We generally go to the Ormelie or All Bar One first, we start off with a beer or two then hit the vino. We never run out of things to talk about, we're like a couple of old women. Most Fridays we forget to have anything to eat so our bodies take a severe doing. Its not good for us, indeed its positvely dangerous. So this Friday, with PoP off to see Sting in Newcastle, I decided to have a quiet night in.

I cooked Bruce and I some pizza and we were having a bottle of bud. Mostly sitting in silence as we tried to deal with his dismal 6th Year report card.  :?

The next thing I know? I'm in Accident and Emergency having slashed my leg open on the oven door. On Monday I went to give blood and they wouldn't let me and tonight they almost needed to give me some.

Ouch!!

How on earth did you manage that? How many stitches did you have to get? What was on your pizza?

Good grief! What on earth did you do? I've never been attacked by an oven door! Are you OK?

Aw Porty! Doesn't that warm the cockles of your heart. Me and ecm posted exactly the same sentiment at the same time :D
Just remember, it wasn't me who asked about your pizza topping!

Yeah, answer my last question first as it's most important to me as I'm starving right now!

Bloody profanity filter! All I meant was a well-known phrase relating to the "shellfish" of your heart!

Why isn't he answering?
Do you think he's lapsed into some kind of wound induced coma?

Perhaps someone should visit, check his pulse and see if there's any pizza left?

Oh...maybe....not too bothered about the pizza.....I was just thinking really that I've got some food sitting there in the fridge, but no cigarettes (due to me being stuck here without my duly state registered partner who is "doing a Porty" somewhere). Ah well! Such is life! Food but no fags! :(

Hey

Thanks you two. The Pizza hs nw been scoffed by Bruce etc so I had to nip down to the seaview.

The cut look miles worse than it is. Indeed nothing compared to some of the Rugby stuff. The handsome young and beefy Doctor just squeezed some glue into the wound and then the the keener than keen Red Cross guy took about an hour to put a completley unneccessary bandage on it.

Here's an idea Marya. Give up again and donate what you would spend on cigarettes over the next 12 months to Children In Need.

It's either that or I lock you in that cupboard.

Do you think a very deeply sleeping 8yr old may be left...for a few minutes...while I nip down to Carlo's? Or should I be a responsible adult and just drink the rest of the bottle instead? What a dilemma!

BTW I could always shout out "How are ye big man?" as I pass Porty's

No!! This is not a wind up. It was the most innocous thing and then blood was suddenly p ishing everywhere. Not even slightly painful!!

A&E was as entertaining as it always is( Unless you work there regularly) and I wasn't there to long. However, PoP, who is waiting on ahip replacement, may be less impressed to know that I met a guy we used to play football with has just had his done. And he is a year younger!!!
