One hit wonders
Of our 284 current registered members, 119 (42%) have never posted. Clearly, some people are happy just to read. The ones that intrigue me though are the people who posted once and then never again. What happened? Was it a passing whim? Tried it once and didn't like it? Did we say something to offend them?
Here are the One Hit Wonders. I've only taken it up to August 04 because more recent members may just not have had time to get round to that second post yet.

This is a bad post, Bob.
Essentially you're victimising your own members - which is like shooting yourself in the foot. I must say that if I registered with the board, posted, and ended up on some inane hitlist I'd be a tad disgruntled.
I know two of the people on that list - Janet and one other. Janet's post, which was about the Blue Bean Cafe, was hilarious.
I'm sure you didn't mean anything bad by this, but try reading your post back to yourself whilst imagining that you are one of the people on the list.

Hi Ho Silver Lining is a classic 'pub singer' number. I grew up near the Gretna FC social club and as a kid I was treated every Saturday night for years to the musically inept noise of a bunch of local wasters who thought they were the next Tremeloes. The chorus was always sung with great gusto by a very drunken audience. OMG, I can still hear it now. "And it's...altogether now.... Hi Ho..."

I really loved that. 1985?foxy wrote:Nu Shooz "I can't wait"
Sly Fox - Let's Go All The Way.
Charlene - Never Been to Me.
Minnie Riperton - Loving You (did she destroy her voice with those high notes, or did she have other, unmemorable hits?).
All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!
