Fancy buying a bar or B&B?

Post by wangi » 24 May 2011, 14:35

I thought something was on the cards from a couple of search engine hits...

The Dalriada Bar is an extremely well established business which has been run successfully by the current proprietors since 2003. During this time, the business has been modernised, promoted and built up resulting in much repeat custom and is now credited as a popular community bar. With live music events being held, trade is not only derived from the local clientele but from many followers throughout Edinburgh.

With this in mind, the business also has much potential to be realised as new proprietors have the opportunity to increase food sales as well as further promotion for private parties, functions etc. Previous owners had also let out part of the accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis and should new proprietors require less private accommodation this is certainly something that could be considered again. Word of mouth marketing is being carried out and at present, the business is run by a husband and wife team along with the assistance of 6 part time members of staff.

The Robert Burns Hotel, 41 Abercorn Terrace, Edinburgh
FABULOUS HOTEL SITUATED IN ONE OF EDINBURGH’S MOST DESIRED AREAS · Situated in Desirable Location · Bar & Dining Area · 17 Letting Bedrooms · 2 bedroom owners apartment · Extensive Garden Area · Great Potential ·
Located in the easternmost suburb of Edinburgh, The Robert Burns Hotel is situated in the heart of Joppa. With Musselburgh to the east and Portobello to the west, this illustrious suburb is one of Edinburgh’s most ‘sought-after’ locations. There are great bus routes into the city centre and free on street parking in front of the hotel. With the seafront only a minute or so away, Joppa is an ideal location for both residents and tourists. With an array of restaurants and other small businesses scattered along Joppa Road, this area of Edinburgh is bustling with tourists and residents all year round.

The main attraction is certainly Portobello Beach. With stunning views of the Firth of Forth, this is one of Edinburgh’s most popular locations in the summer months.

As well as only being 3 miles or so away from the city centre, the A1 is only minutes away, taking you to key road links such as the Edinburgh City Bypass. It is also worth noting that Fort Kinnaird is also close by, boasting high street stores and eateries.

What ya mean you thought something is up? The fact that all 3 are on the market at the same time?

I had not realised that the First and Last has stopped trading.

Nah, just that it was incoming search terms that highlighted the Dalriada and Craigalon were up for sale.
