As you may know Mercy Corps is heavily involved in the emergency response to the HAITI EARTHQUAKE DISASTER. This link takes you directly to the Mercy Corps website : http://www.mercycorps.org.uk/

They have a strong team in Port au Prince and following the initial emergency response will be developing and actioning long term recovery programmes in a number of areas to help give the people of Haiti control of their lives again – these initiatives will include Cash for Work which puts money in to the pockets of Haitian people to work on clearing the devastation, economic development, agricultural development, water and sanitation and psychosocial support.

To help fund this Mercy Corps are running a sustained appeal in association with City of Edinburgh Council. I’ve attached the Appeal poster. You may also have seen the appeal in local press and on radio.

Could you pass the poster on to all of your contacts and – importantly – ask them to do the same. We are trying to generate a viral flush of support.
