Porpoise on Beach

There was a porpoise on the beach on Monday morning. It seemed to have got trapped in shallow water.

A similar thing happened in the early 80s
The porpoise stranded between Bath St and Marlbourgh St area of the beach.
The SSPCA were unwilling to help so we were left to try and get the poor thing out to sea ourselves.
Cold and back breaking!
It did eventually swim off, no idea what happened after that

It was Mrs PoP who discovered the stranded porpoise and phoned the emergency services.
