Fundraising Ceilidh - Friday 15th May

Post by josp » 26 Apr 2009, 10:12

Hi All

I'm organising a Celidh on Friday 15th May in order to raise money for an Everest Base Camp trek I'm doing in October in aid of the charity RP Fighting Blindness.

It'll going to be in Teviot Terrace (sorry it's not local to Porty but I work at the Uni so handier for colleagues).

So if you fancy a whirl, do come along. All welcome.

Check out my website for more info - www.basecamporbust.info

Welcome Josp- I have RP, as do most of extended family on my late mum's side. I can't make the ceildh but if you post the details of where to send a donation I will be happy to oblige. And good luck with the trek did the RP society do the Sahara last year or am I mistaken?

Hi - thanks for the support, my justgiving site is www.justgiving.com/jospiller. I'm planning a further ceilidh in September sometime so I'll let you know when I confirm dates. I'm also hoping to organise some things locally over the summer so will no doubt post again with info.

I think BRPS just recently came back from the Sahara, possibly in March.

Thanks again

Jo

thanks poppy and for the tip about the donation. Will do so tomorrow. Josp, I'm assuming you have RP. When was it diagnosed and how is it going?

I don't, personally, but I'm going to be doing the trek with a friend who does.

By the way, if you have a business that you wish to advertise or anything like that I've set up this online jigsaw idea as part of my fundraising efforts where for your donation I'll put an ad on as a thank you. There are several pieces already taken if you look on the website www.basecamporbust.info.

Thanks

It had included the full stop in the web link which is why it didn't work.

Thanks very much for your donation, it's very much appreciated.
