Books for the Troops

Does anyone have some books they don't need anymore? If so, please read on..

"We are asking for books and sweeties for the lads from supporters at home. There is a lack of books, and sweets always go down well. If you feel able, could you please ask among your friends if anyone has old paperbacks that the lads might like to read - anything really except Mills and Boon romances. Also sweets - the sort that come individually wrapped - like boiled sweets."

Packets under 2kg are posted free from any UK post office.

If you can help, please ask folk to post any of the above to,

Had box in house , 4 thick paperbacks ,quick trip tp Morrison's for 2 bags of Swizzells pick n mix , drumsticks , love hearts , climpies ( remember them )n away along to post office. !

box gone ,bought 2 empty ones to fill . Great that there is no postage .

wee round balls of hard clear . coloured boiling type sweetie in a small clear wrap of paper , good to sook n not be seen to be sooking

Yes !! 2nd and 3rd boxes away

, just scraped the 2kg though , got 6 books n sweeties into both

Ah yes - I remember them well! Thanks Beachbum. I'm normally quite good on sweeties, as my Dad used to have a sweetie shop in Musselburgh.

You are doing really well, I got two boxes away this week. Sure the guys will be pleased (if not with the books hopefully the sweeties!)
