Good luck to anyone running today. Homer is one of the runners, so I'm shortly going to wander down to the Prom to do the wifely thing and cheer him on.
The runners start at Meadowbank at 9.00 am and then run down towards Leith links before making their way towards Portobello along Seafield and the Prom.
The finish is at Musselburgh racecourse.
Wonder how many runners might be a bit dismayed to see that Jonathon has had all that convenient undergrowth cleared?

OK , considering the amount of wine, Guinness and beer he consumed yesterday

He was 14th (oops! it was 13th), so it was worth the early rise. I've actually watched him run in two races today as the Carnethy 5 Hill Race was featured in the Adventure Show on BBC 2 earlier tonight.
edit - got finishing position wrong.

The website for the half marathon isnt up to much. Despite the event being over for hours there are no finishing times etc displayed for this year, only last year. Certainly not an up to date website.

The runners are each issued with a timing chip and the company which provided the chips collates the results. It is explained on the website if you read it.

The website says results will be published on the website within 48 hours, ive just checked. I thought it was 4 hours. Must have read over it too quickly.
Mind you, I dont really give a s#@t about what the timings are really.

Respect Homer. Respect.
