New Music Gallery

I've been looking for a way to showcase local musical talent since the demise of Radio Free Porty and decided the easiest solution was to make use of the Gallery feature.

The new gallery will feature an interesting and eclectic range of musical styles. The first 6 bands are already in place and I'm happy to take suggestions for additions. The only proviso is that they have to be Portobello-based.

Already suggested are Electric Avenue and Dick Lee.

Not my cup of tea but I am presently listening to the tracks by Rosie Nimmo. Interesting.

What other plans do you have in the pipeline for porty.org.uk "Bob Jefferson"?

Oh, lots of things. Having ideas is the easy bit, implementing them is something else.

One more thing about the minstrels gallery, these artistes are a precious lot so in order not to offend their delicate sensibilities please do not post unkind comments about their creative output.
