Loch Lomond Seaplanes

Post by Bob Jefferson » 09 Aug 2008, 19:47

I was at the IMAX in Glasgow recently to see the new Batman film. While we were exploring the Science Centre earlier in the day, my attention was caught by something in my peripheral vision. I looked round to see an aeroplane flying incredibly low just a few feet away. It took my brain a second or two to work out that it wasn't about to crash-land but was in fact a seaplane, by which time it had made a perfect landing right in front of me on the River Clyde.

A few days later, Loch Lomond Seaplanes was featured on TV on 'The Woman Who Ate Scotland'. Recently voted the top "must do" activity in Scotland, the seaplane flies from Glasgow to Oban in just 22 minutes or Tobermory, if you prefer, just a few minutes later. They also offer a number of scenic tours. Prices start from £79 for a one way flight to Oban.

Lunch in Tobermory anyone?

I've got just about enough for one way. We'll have to hitch a lift back.
