Girl Guides 1973

I'm looking for some assistance in identifying the Girl Guides in this photo, taken in St James Church hall in 1973. I have some of the names but it would be good to get confirmation.

Im almost certain that the girl in the centre in white is Gail Balfour from regent street. Give me some of the other names bob and i'll see if i can pick them out.

Hi Bob, I think I recognise a couple faces. Second left in the third row looks very like Alison (Ali) Prior and I'm getting the name Pat for the face that's third left back row but I can't remember a surname.

I met Dan this morning- a fine young man. Tall isn't he? I thought he was secondary age.

Fourth from the left in the second row down is Fiona Saunders. She was one of my best friends at school and I still keep in touch with her and she still takes the Guides! Second from left on the third row down is Helen MacKenzie. Top row first in could be Gail Montgomery. Def know other faces. If you give me the names I could probably pick them out.

Just emailed that photo to Fiona, sure she'll fill us in!

I've e-mailed the girly pic to one of my old Porty High chums who was in the Guides around that time somewhere in the porty area. She might be able to help.

Is Bob going to do a "where are they now" type feature on the gals? What do Girl Guides do anyway? I'm sure I was one for a wee while once. My only memory is a very vague one of a few girls sitting round a dansette crying along to Simon and Garfunkel's Bridge over Troubled Water.

I'm not sure if that was for a badge or not.
