Have any of you been to Whitby

We're going for a few days with the yongest snakeling and his partner

We want to go to the Dracula experience while we're there and wondered if it was any good

My elder two went there on school trips and enjoyed it.
Eldest read Dracula to get in the mood, not bad for a P7

I believe there's now tours along the lines of the ghost tours around Edinburgh closes.

Have only ever gone to Whitby on day trips (we used to holiday in Yorkshire a lot when the kids were wee) and I liked it, lots of quaint wee antique and knik knak shops......................................and the fish suppers were fantastic

Dracula experience a bit naff but does have one scary bit when an actor jumped out!Recommend the Abbey,the sailing ship in the harbour and the old town in whitby,Robin Hood bay is excellent - go on a fossil hunting tour which was great fun , enjoy

That would be great Scoop.
We didn't get ther ein the end (English bank holiday) We went north instead (Alford). We still intend to go in a few weeks time though.

Sorry couldn't reply quicker as I changed my email address and was locked out from doing anything on the site.

Thanks for the offer of the article even though you no longer have it (my fault for not canging my email sooner and seeing there was a reply to my original post in time).
We're hoping to go down in a few weeks time and I'm sure we'll enjoy ourselves exporing the area.
