Coffee- How do you like yours?

Post by Porty » 18 Feb 2008, 14:40

I like black and the occassional strong cappuccino. For me the container is almost as important as the flavour. I prefer the "solo" type cup that Starbucks and many others use. Its so much better than a china, polystyrene or porcelain cup. Especially big cups that accelerate the cooling of the coffee. However, these solo cups are nowhere near as good for drinking tea out of.

I like an espresso but I generally drink latte. M&S at the Gyle and Cafe Citron in Blackhall are regular haunts. If you are ever in Broughton Street, check out Artisan Roast - excellent coffee freshly roasted each morning on the premises.

I once had what passes for latte in a 'bistro' in Whitburn. It was so bad I actually laughed out loud.

The 'correct' answer, of course, would be espresso. Homer loves his coffee and makes it from freshly ground beans. He claims the best cup of coffee he ever had was in Milan airport. I wouldn't know because I had a diet coke.

When I do drink coffee I usually have a latte or a cappucino, which in most places amounts to the same! And I add sugar

Whitburn? Bistro? Nah!

It's a real experience to have an "espresso" on a CalMac ferry... It's the same crap Nescafé made in a small cup

Cappuccino. Starbucks cap is way too milky for me though, even the small ("tall") one. Other than my home made cup, the second best cappuccino in Portobello is from the Wimpy on the prom IMHO.
