Anyone else watching Andrew Marr's history of modern Britain? The Beeb have a web page devoted to viewers own photos of the 70's, 80's and so on, I think this one is a belter>
This wedding at Birmingham University in 1971 took place to the music of Pink Floyd. The bride, Theodora Simons, says her daughter now uses the photo as a style reference.

I have a couple of episodes to catch up on but it's been a very enjoyable programme.
He's very likeable, isn't he, old Andrew.
Cracking pic btw. Isn't that Mr. Hatstand on the far right?

I saw that pic on the bbc website and some of the other wondeful ones.
I think its funny that fashions go "retro" and kids want to wear patterns that my mum or granny wore way back in the 60s / 70s
I was in Asda yesterday with my elder daughter and we saw some mens tshirts like the ones her dad wore when we first met ( 1975 for the curious, took us a while to get together), no tye dye ones yet tho'

I'm really enjoying the series. I learned loads from the first programme, even my uncle and auntie couldn't believe how long rationing went on. And they lived through it. Last weeks prog was riveting and all about Mrs T. Looking back puts an interesting perspecive on things
I agree about Andrew Marr being likeable, I'm just baffled that his sunday morning show is not called AM with AM.
