Hello, I am froglette. I lurk here quite often and enjoy reading other people's post. My partner posts here and I decided that I wanted to participate. So here I am!

Hi Beach Babe,
I'm afraid you will have to guess. But I'll give you one clue. It's tragic.

Im afraid "Tragic" does not begin to narrow the potential suspects.

Of that there is no doubt and I was not looking to exclude myself. Is your location a "Yes" reference?

well...I would like to think of it more as a Roger Dean reference as my albums from that era were more Uriah Heep than Yes, but the echo of that idea is there although the direct reference is more to location and state of mind.....

But please dont let that worry you, froglette and mystery partner

He/she's not dead and you've propped them in a rocking chair or anything like that?

(if so, you wouldn't be the only weirdo living here!)

newbies welcome here

Well - hello! Actually, I joined a year ago, but as I'm not online at home, I have had to lurk, as I only got to read everything once in a while, and couldn't really join anything. However, while still not on-line at home, I can now get to see this more often so I am venturing out into the open.

Happy Monday!

Hello, I found this forum at the weekend and just wanted to thank everyone for the pictures, especially "Wangi" they're fantastic and brought so many happy memories back.........it's nearly 10 years since I left portobello, not through choice, but work commitments and I still miss it to this day. I sometimes wake up & think I can hear the waves on the beach......sad innit. :(

Sorry to hear that Miss Porty.

If you like, we could make you up one of those things you see in the novelty shops - like a picture frame but with two bits of glass and some sand and seawater. You could either tip it gently side to side for a relaxing wave effect, or shuggle it up and down for a "stormy day" effect.

You could even have 2 - an "Eastfield" one which has amusing "art" bits of coloured plastic floating in it, and a "Seafield" one which has bits floating in it too.

Just give me the nod. Welcome to the board.

Miss Porty the member - not to be confused with Porty the member.

I think!

:?

So, P of P, welcome. Love the avatar!

Tell us, are you a pal of Porty the place or Porty the member?

I wish to confess to the crime of lurking.... lurking for some time. Nearly made the leap to joining twice before, but that's another tale.

I have never posted to anything before - however, I made my first bid for something on eBay this weekend... so I feel brave enough to make my first post and say hello to forum members.

So.... hello

Yes hello charlie too. It is a bit odd isn't it?

Having previously emerged through a purely electronic existence I am feeling slightly displaced now that I physically live here - I think I felt safer in cyber space!

Oh I don't know old boy. I believe your grasp on reality would be tenuous wherever you happen to lay your hat. :P

My simple aims are to have only a passing grip on reality and to avoid hats where possible.
