The Election

Post by wangi » 15 Apr 2007, 20:36

Reading the press and watching the box it's increasingly looking like the SNP could win the forthcoming election. That'll be interesting.

Interesting reading the SoS today that MOD has given them an extra boost too - looking at contingency plans to move out Trident. That alone would get folk voting SNP (where is Dada anyway?)! http://news.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=577262007

I'm always a bit dubious about polls. I'm sure half the folk who take part in them lie just for the hell of it or because they don't want to admit they vote Tory.

I was thinking that earlier. He was seen the other day in his garden so presumably not on holiday. Maybe he's huffing? Or having a lurking spell.

Porty has been pretty quiet as well by his standards. And what about Hatstand? We know he hasn't been spending the time doing jobs around the house, so what's his excuse?

To be honest, I've been focussing on the Council elections and hadn't given much thought to the national situation. There are only four candidates for Edinburgh East plus a host of 'top up' candidates.

Susan Deacon has of course stood down in this traditionally Labour-held constituency, with Norman Murray now standing in her place.

Porty's away dressing up as a woman in Spain. Maybe Hatstand has gone with him?

Sorry, off topic but that's how interesting I find politics :?

Easy to see you are no longer an Admin on here Mr Jefferson! Who would have ever thought you would be lamenting the loss of posts from Dada and Porty?
