I have spend the last 20 minutes looking for a thread on the search section. I have now given up as it is not user friendly. Can the search facility be made easier to use?
Can anyone direct me to the Black pudding thread?
Thanks

I see what you mean, Sandra

had a wee go myself and find it hard to believe that over 200 threads have reference to black pudding. I tried adding Stornoway to the search but didn't help any.

It's on the POL Parly Dinner thread! Try selecting "posts" in the bottom left hand corner of the search box; I find that easier.

Tried again and I think it is the "your work Xmas night out" thread you are looking for.

Oh, I see Poppy has suggested another thread. We do talk a lot of black pudding on here.

I think your thread is the right one, TG! I'm pretty traumatised after seeing all the "mushroom clouds" of frog spawn at Inveresk Lodge. Shudder!!

Lucky you, Poppy. We were out at Vogrie last week-end and there wasn't a frog or any spawn in sight.

Normally there's loads by now.

How odd re Vogrie.

LOADS of spawn and quite a few froggies to be seen today.

They had obviously been doing some work to the main pond which would explain the absence of any life but the other pond further back was also deserted.

Would it be anything to do with warmth/light - the wee pond is surrounded by tall trees whereas the one at Inveresk is in an open and south-facing area?
Anyhoo, to get back on topic

, when one does the search as suggested above - click on "Subject" (on the far right end of the line with the date etc in small font above the text of the post). That takes you directly to the post - clicking on "Topic" takes you to the start of the whole thread!

We were out at Vogrie today and they've drained the big pond where, last year, there was lots spawn (both frog and toad). There's still some sign of activity/spawn but it doesn't bode well.

The search facility would probably work best Sandra if we had better thread discipline. However, I can't see that ever happening on here

Ali seems to be able to locate historic threads very easily and quickly. Any tips Ali or am I imagining it?

Did you check out the other pond Marya ?
The Brighton boys are still doing well by the way and have performed their duties again this year
