Have it oon good authority that Somerfields are to disappear from Musselburgh High Street. Site has been sold to developers for flats along with the Police Station.

I heard that Tesco were building there and the new houses were going to be built where Tesco is now

But I could be wrong

It's been in the EN, and the EL Courier for some time. Along with last weeks Courier headline that the EL Courier is Tony Blair's favourite read when he comes to Scotland... :shock:

I wish Tesco would buy over our local Somerfield. not many people I know like them. (poor choice, expensive, etc.)

I think they have Robin!

It would be a good alternative to Scotmid for those of us who don't have cars. Or fancy nice bread, the odd bits and pieces which Scotmid don't stock. We do most of our shopping online at Asda but a Tesco Metro would be good locally.

This has been talked about on another thread, I'm sure Poppy will find it for you :wink:
