I'm sure there is a house in New York or someo other US city where the owner refused to sell to Skyscraper developers who owned the land on on either side. So they simply buit the skyscrapers to connect in the skyspace above it.

On the subject of Bailyfield I heard a rumour from a tenant on the BL site that most owners have agreed to sell including beachcomber.
